Bob Abernethy is a Senior Research Technician in the Buildings Research Division at the Florida Solar Energy Center. He began as an engineering technician in 1989. His primary responsibility is the support of the engineers, scientists, and analysts in the many and various types of research in which they are engaged. These fields include: infiltration, house tightness, duct leakage, measurement, and data acquisition systems. He also is experienced in instrumentation, mechanics, carpentry, and diagnostic testing.
