The energy efficient portable classroom sited at West Sylvan Middle School in Portland, Oregon was constructed by Modern Building Systems. The energy efficient specifications include, R21 wall and R30 floor and ceiling insulation, metal insulated doors, vinyl framed windows (U=0.31), a high efficiency Baird heat pump, rigid duct work, continuously dimming ballasts, and programmable thermostats and CO2 sensors.
